What guidance can I expect from the Accredo specialty-trained nurses?
You will have a one-on-one relationship with a specialty-trained nurse who can help you manage your health condition, encourage you to take and/or administer your medication, and provide education, tips for managing side effects and a personalized plan of care. The guidance provided by the specialty-trained nurses isn’t meant to replace or interfere with the care you receive from your doctor – Accredo’s nurses are an additional resource to help you manage your treatment effectively. Based on your needs, they may also refer you to other Empire Plan programs (e.g., the Home Care Advocacy Program), when appropriate.
