What guarantees does DSHS make regarding security of CMBHS against intrusion by unauthorized persons or hackers?
• Security is a shared responsibility for CMBHS. The application uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), a common best practice data encryption technology used in e-commerce and online banking systems. Our Data Center Services provider, IBM/Team for Texas, is responsible for security of the data center infrastructure for CMBHS. Providers should have industry standard policies and procedures in place, such as those required by HIPAA Privacy and Security regulations, to guide staff access to CMBHS and to protect against unauthorized use.
