What Group Does A Australian Duck Billed Platypus Belong To?
The duck billed Australian Platypus is a semi aquatic mammal that lays eggs. Along with the four different species of echnida it is the only species which does not birth live babies and instead lays eggs. The animal belongs to the family Ornithorhynchus, and is the only living specimen in it’s genus. However, several related animals have been found in it’s fossil records.
