What greek myth explains the seasons?
Search for Persephone. Basically, as a compromise between Hades (Who abducted Persephone) and Demeter (Persephone’s Mother), Zeus declares that Persophone will spend 4 months out of the year with Hades (Winter) and 8 months out of the year on earth (the rest of the seasons). During the winter, Demeter morns her daughter’s absence and does not tend to her duties as ‘mother earth’. In the summer, she rejoices and life flourishes.
