What grains and starchy carbohydrates are allowed and when?
A. When purchasing these items, look for organic, sprouted, whole grain and with no sugar added. On Phase I and II only arrowroot powder is permitted. On Phase III you can add sprouted, Ezekiel-type bread, sprouted Essence bread, fermented whole-grain sourdough bread, quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat, millet, brown rice, sprouted cereal, oats, kamut, spelt, barley, bulgur wheat and whole-grain kamut or spelt pasta in small quantities.
