A. The Prince William County Public Schools grading scale. If you are an out of district student, a grade based on the PWCS scale will be submitted to your base school. They may choose to convert the % to their grading scale.

A letter scale is used: A, excellent; B, good; C, fair; D, poor; F, failure. No credit is given for grades of C- or lower. For comparative purposes: A+, 4.3; A, 4.0; A-, 3.7. B+, 3.3; B, 3.0; B-, 2.7. C+, 2.3; C, 2.0; C-, 1.7. D+, 1.3; D, 1.0; D-, 0.7; F, 0.
