What grade of structural screed should be used?
The structural concrete floor topping should be of grade C30 concrete of a minimum thickness of 60mm (50mm above the beams) with a maximum aggregate size of 10mm, reinforced with a minimum A98 mesh to BS 4483:1998. Alternatively, the structural concrete topping can be reinforced with polypropylene fibres at a rate of 0.90 kg/m³ and in accordance with BS 8204-1:2003 or BS 8204-2:2003.
