What grade do I get for Advanced Standing (includes CLEP and AP) credit?
There is no letter grade assigned for CLEP, AP, or other advanced standing credit courses. You will receive a P, which signifies you passed the material associated with the course. These add hours earned without affecting your gpa. • Where can I go to find out about CLEP tests? University Testing and Evaluation Services is located in 111 North Murray, 744-5958. CLEP exams are administered by appointment at a cost of $50-60 per exam. • How many CLEP tests can I take? OSU offers 29 CLEP tests for degree credit. The only limit to the number of CLEP exams allowed per student is related to the following residence requirements: A minimum of one-half of the upper-division requirements in a student’s major field must be earned in residence at OSU.
