What Good Medical Schools/7 Year Med Programs Can I Get Into (10 Points)?
QUESTION: I’m a junior in high school wanting to study medicine. I want to get into Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, Dartmouth or Brown. I know they might all be a stretch for me, except maybe Cornell. But how good would you say my chances are based on the following: GPA: I think a 4.0, don’t remember. Last year my GPA was a 97/100, don’t remember if that was weighted or unweighted. Classes: So far for APs I’ve taken AP Statistics, AP US History, AP European History (4 on AP exam), AP Language and AP Psychology (4 on AP exam). The rest of my classes have all been honors, except for Physics this year (regular physics, which I’ve received A+ in both quarters) Grades: A and A+ for the most part, a few B+ grades SAT: 2070 (Just got my score today; it was my first SAT, and I’m going to try and get up to a 2150-2200 in May) Extracurricular Activities: 9th grade Drama club and Human Awareness Club, 10th and 11th grade Students Against Destructive Decisions Club and Yearbook Club Volunteering
