What good are used eyeglasses and hearing aids?
To you, they’re not good for very much, but to the Lions, they’re a gift of sight and sound. We collect and reprocess the eyeglasses, and distribute them at no charge to the needy in developing countries around the globe. Your used glasses may provide an adult with the clear vision necessary to maintain employment or give a child the chance to stay in school. Used hearing aids are not part of our international program, but they help those within our immediate service area. We can always use more because the need continues to be critical in many places. If you’ve got old prescription eyeglasses or sunglasses or a hearing aid collecting dust in some drawer, we can use them, regardless of their condition. Look for our blue and yellow collection box or blue plastic tote at any of these locations.
