What goes with a Pencil Skirt?
Well, my favorite type of pencil skirt is a high-waisted one. I usually wear a high waist pencil skirt over a dressy top such a turtleneck cap-sleeved top or a satin-y blouse. It also depends on what the skirt looks like. If it’s pinstripe or plaid or has some type of pattern, it’s best to stick with a solid colored top. If the skirt is one solid color, then a patterned top would work. Take proportions into consideration. Make sure your outfit balances out. Another thing I like to do with my pencil skirts is to wear a waist belt. It really cinches the waist and adds something stylish and flattering to the whole look. Make sure the color of the belt works with the rest of the outfit though. For example, a green top, black skirt but orange belt definitely wouldn’t work.
