What goes on in Grand Lodge Mason meetings?

I can’t speak definitively for all Grand Lodges, but I imagine the procedure is pretty similar. Here in Oregon, (I’ve been to two Grand Lodge sessions, so far, in my ten years as a Mason) We deal with legislature about potential changes to our Grand Lodge Constituion. We also deal with minor resolutions that don’t involve changes to the Constitution, just a resolution to make a certain point. In addition to the legislative duties, we elect the officers to serve the Grand Lodge for the next year. At the end of the Grand Lodge meeting, we have the Installation of Officers for the Grand Lodge. A public event that is basically a scaled-up version of the Installation of Officers for a local Lodge.
