What goes in graphic design portfolio for college admission?

Hi JT, Another consideration is the order of your portfolio. They say you should start with a great design first and finish with your best last as they are the most memorable. My portfolio has 10 works showing a variety of skills which is important to display to a prospective employer or educational institution. Another thing I focused on was consistent design. I created a colour theme and I guess you could call a header or footer with my very own branding rather than printing my work up on just a completely plain white back ground. This went down well, just make sure this design compliments your work and does not over power it or take up too much space. You should also create your portfolio in PDF format less than 5mb in case you need to email it to anyone at any stage. Having electronic copies are quite important in this modern day! I got full marks and entry into my design course with this.
