What glue do i use to fix a violin bridge?
erm…my violin bridges don’t have glue, the strings hold it down firmly enough. The placement of the bridge is very important, and if you do it wrong it’s not good. My advice would be to go to a shop specialising in or that makes violins and get it sorted out there, but if it’s an emergency, the other answers are fine. When my bridge was fitted, they made the strings tighten slightly over it and then kept adjusting and tightening until it was in the right place and ready to be tuned, I’m not sure how common this is but the violins I have don’t have glued down bridges so that if they start to lean towards the fingerboard they can be bent slightly the other way again so that they can’t be collapsed by the strings during tuning.
