What gets accelerated with Accelerate IT ?
Most web pages get accelerated. Based on our response time test, pages will load at least twice as fast on average. The location of the site, how often you visit and nature of the content does affect how well it is accelerated. Accelerate IT works well with sites containing text and graphics. Of course, not all content can be accelerated. Secure sites like your online retailer or bank will not be accelerated. Streaming multimedia and mp3 downloads from P2P networks are already compressed and will not benefit from Accelerate IT. Peer-to-peer chat and web-driven voice over IP like MediaRing and Net2phone cannot be accelerated without affecting the quality of the session. Accelerate IT specifically targets improved response time from browsing activities and not other internet applications. If your site contains animated objects or specialised progam code including java, some aspect of the site will be accelerated but you may still need to wait for the rest of the site to load.
