What geographical area would the Technocratic society cover?
The Technocratic society, or Technate, would embrace the entire North American Continent plus the peripheral islands north to the North Pole, the West Indian archipelago, and those in the Pacific Ocean east of the International Date Line and north of the Equator. In addition, the northern tip of South America would be invited to join, embracing that portion of the southern Continent north of the Amazon River basin. (Editor’s Note: While this is what was initially considered for the maximum in resources and defence of a Technate, not all these countries are necessary. Primarily a Technate could function with simply Canada and the United States if it were necessary, though perhaps not quite as well as with the others.) 5.2.
