What GCSE maths grade do i need to study medicine?
It varies depending on university, but most universities require you to have a grade B or above, in which case, you are right to try for the higher tier. Also, be aware that you will need to have a certain number of top grades at GCSE to be able to have a chance of getting on the course. Universities differ in the exact number. For example, the University of Manchester requires you to have at least 5 A or A*s at GCSE, while Bristol University require you to have at least 8 As/A*s and Leeds University only require at least 6 Bs including English, maths and the 3 sciences.
