What gave rise to the problems with Paxil?
Initially, the problem that was reported in relation to Paxil was its potential to be addictive, despite claims otherwise when it hit the market. Withdrawal symptoms from Paxil proved to be severe, as is the case with any addictive drug. The other problem that arose with Paxil was its interaction with migraine headache medication, and this concern rose to the point that the FDA released a warning in this regard.
