What gandhi mean when he said satyagraha as active resistence?
Excuse me, Satyagraha IS the philosophy and practice developed by Gandhi of active resitance. In which, the activists use peaceful passive methods. A saying I just made up is, ” anangry man cannot keep his temper ni heaven.” What I am trying to say, is, that you cannot keep your temper or your violence if your opponent does not retaliate. Imagine this, if the United States were to suddenly occupy Cuba and the Cubans had not attacked or provoked for violence or confrontaional outbreak, the United States would be enormolously criticised thus the active resitance in Cuba would succeed as international pressures create the US’ bowing to retreat soldiers. Thus it would be a success. It is also probably though satyagraha is best termed with Gandhi, I would say it developed from Confucious origins. Satyagraha is Sanskrit for “great enthusiasm and interest in truth.” Or perhaps bettwer worded as “firmness in truth.” Gandhi described “satyagraha” as: Its root meaning is holding onto truth, henc
