What future plans exist for the department?
The department continues to expand and improve the software engineering component of its bachelor’s degrees in computer science and software engineering, and hopes to grow the master’s degree in software engineering. The department plans to continue its efforts to make itself more visible, both on and off campus. These efforts will include the establishment of close relationships with employers so that faculty (and students) have increased summer employment and consulting opportunities and industries have readily available access to professional expertise.
