What functions cannot be charged for as “Search and Preparation”?
The Regulation s.4(3) provides that the following functions are not part of “search and preparation” and cannot be charged to an applicant: • transferring a request to another public body • preparing a fee estimate • reviewing the records to determine if any exceptions to access apply • copying a record for an applicant • preparing an explanation of the records • time consulting within the public body, other public bodies, third parties and legal counsel.
