What functions can a user with the Sponsor role perform?
When a user with the Sponsor role clicks the xTrain tab, he or she can view the List of Grants screen and the Trainee Roster screen. For fellowships completed at domestic universities, research institutions and hospitals, the Sponsor reviews the termination notice and routes it to the designated Business Official (BO) for submission to the agency. In cases where the fellow has left the institution without completing his or her fellowship termination notice, the Sponsor may initiate the termination notice on the fellow’s behalf. Sponsors are responsible for reviewing and submitting the termination notices initiated by federal and foreign fellows to the agency.
