What fuels does the power plant use?

Presently, the only fuel that the power plant utilizes is natural gas. The power plant formerly exclusively burned coal up until 1991 when three of its smaller coal boilers (which since then have been eliminated) were converted to gas. Its two larger boilers were converted to partial gas at the same time as well in order to comply with emission regulations. Coal was later phased out with the addition of the gas combustion turbines in 1997. The last time coal was fired was in 1999 before it was eliminated in its entirety. We have the ability to burn #2 oil on two of our boilers in an emergency, however it would have to be trucked in as we presently have no on site oil storage.
