Audacity is excellent but you will need to download the lame encoder in order to export to mp3; I prefer Wavepad because it is much easier to use http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/index.html click on “download wavepad” for the free version; if prompted to download additional software during installation, DON’T as it isn’t free. Just install wavepad Go to open file to load your wav file; it has a ton of features which you will find under EDIT or EFFECTS. When you are satisfied, go to File>Save File As and select mp3 from the menu.
