Any other anti-malware program will have to be used as an “on-demand scanner” so it won’t interfere with the MSE program. Microsoft already has created one for antivirus and malware problems. It’s called Microsoft Security Essentials. I use this and the Clam Antivirus for Windows on all my Windows computer systems. The one from Microsoft, I feel is a step forward for Microsoft and taking responsibility for their Windows Operating Systems. You can use what ever you want. Understand ther are no guarantees from any of them that your computer will not be attacked. Virus programs and malware are written everyday of the week, so something new will show up unexpectedly.
