Any number divisible by four is also divisible by two. An even number multiplied by four would be divisible by eight, so need an odd number multiplied by four. The first four-digit odd multiple of four is 251*4 = 1004 The next one is 253*4 = 1012 255*4 = 1020 257*4 = 1028 …and these continue to increase every eight until… 2499*4 = 9996 Thus there are 1125 such numbers.
