What forms other than the FAFSA are required to apply for financial aid?
The FAFSA is the basic form for most student aid programs, and there are a number of Federal and state grants that are awarded using the information provided on the FAFSA. However, students wishing to apply for a Work-Study position must submit a work-study employment application, and students wishing to apply for a scholarship through the RCC Foundation must apply online at http://www.randolph.edu/scholars/. Foundation scholarship applications usually are due the last Friday in April.
The University of Alabama requires students to submit only the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is the basic form for most student aid programs; be sure to complete all sections. Students should give permission on the FAFSA for application data to be sent to The University of Alabama (UA’s federal school code number is 001051). Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid using FAFSA on the web — the fastest and most accurate method. Information is transmitted directly to the U.S. Department of Education and eliminates the additional processing time and potential error associated with a traditional paper FAFSA. The process is quicker and better for both the student and the University of Alabama. Remember, if you would like to be considered for scholarships, a separate application is required. Go here for more information on how to apply for scholarships.
NYU requires students to submit only the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and later, New York State residents must also complete the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application. The FAFSA is the basic form for most student aid programs; be sure to complete all required sections. Students should give permission on the FAFSA for application data to be sent to New York University: our federal school code number is 002785. If you want summer financial aid, you must complete a summer aid application in addition to the FAFSA and TAP application.
