What forms of discipline are used with students at OBI?
With clearly communicated and consistently upheld rules, OBI students have the chance to make their own choices and to experience the results of their choices. To curb negative behavior or poor choices, students may experience after school detentions, work suspension, writing essays, extra “hours” of work or being “campused” (grounded). On the other hand, students who consistently make positive choices are often promoted to leadership positions in the dorm or on their work crews. OBI is notorious for acknowledging student achievements with awards and other forms of affirmation. Each student who enrolls at OBI receives a student handbook which details our expectations.
