What formats are available for accessing the North American Transborder Freight Data?
The North American Transborder Freight Data is offered to customers in a wide variety of formats on the RITA/BTS website at www.bts.gov/transborder/. Monthly data can be obtained in downloadable detailed files or in monthly summary reports. The downloadable data files are zipped files (to size) and can be unzipped and opened on a customer’s local computer in a variety of database or spreadsheet software applications. In addition to these formats, RITA/BTS also provides access to the data through interactive searchable queries. Currently 14 are available, and allow users to specify specific parameters of search initiate a search and receive back a data file that can be viewed online and then downloaded to the customer’s personal computer.
