What format type is best to save in?

a. jpg is optimal for web format especially if you compress before saving… (great for uploading photos to this site *hint hint* b. gif file is great for compression on the web, but computer scrapbooking this is highly NOT recommeneded… gif files are limited in color thus will not product the print quality you would like in your images. c. tiff and png are awesome for saving final versions of your layout – no compression meaning you don’t lose any quality when you save your images. d. Ultimately THE BEST format to save in is either psd, or psp format (if using paintshop pro or photoshop). This preserves the images at the original state including any layers you may have created and will allow for altering again later…
