What format should a thesis be in when it is submitted to the Central Hub?
It is not the place of EThOS to restrict the creativity of authors or the technologies required to render their ideas. There is therefore no restriction on the format of harvested e-theses. However, you should remember that if unusual software is required for your thesis, it may be that a researcher cannot view it. EThOS will digitise paper theses to TIFF format for preservation and Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (or PDF) with OCR’d text for searching and supply.
