What format must my music be in, in order to upload to TuneCore?
We have found .wav files to be the most reliable and therefore recommend them first and foremost. Remember that they must be set at a 44.1 khz sample rate, 16 bit sample size and the channel set to stereo. Not sure how to convert your music to the correct format? Follow these instructions on how to convert in iTunes • 1. Search for your song in iTunes and highlight it. • 2. Go to your preferences (if you’re on a MAC, this will be under the “iTunes” drop down menu). • 3. When you have preferences open, make sure you are on the “general” tab. Go down to where it says “Import Settings” (if you have an older version of iTunes, you may have to click where it says “advanced” and then click on import settings). • 4. Change “import using” to WAV encoder. Change setting to “custom”. A new window will open. • 5.
