What foreign language courses will be available to University students?
The University would continue to offer lower-division courses, as justified by demand, in Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Italian and Spanish, and these courses would satisfy the foreign language requirements associated with many University degree programs. The University would continue to offer a minor and major in Spanish, and offer a minor in Japanese Studies. The M.A. degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures would still be available, and the only specialization available would be in Spanish. Courses in Arabic would continue to be available through the Northern Nevada International Center, which is affiliated with the University.
