It’s true that they are not Originally from Ireland yet they have been The Irish main source of food for near to 500 years (The potato Famine did not merrit it’s name for nothing) BTW Irish stew is even older than the recipe using potatoes. It’s been a way of preparing Old Sheep for over 1000 years.
