Simple carbohydrates tend to be found in sugary foods, the body burns these quickly and they give the body a quick but short energy boost. You’ve probably experienced a feeling of weakness and lack of energy only to eat a sugary food and get an energy boost. This is because your blood sugar levels were low so your body had nothing to burn for fuel so you had no energy. The sugary food gave you a quick burst of simple carbs which instantly gave your body the energy it needed.
