What Food-Related Activities Need FOODSAFE Training?

0

The Secretariat often receives enquiries about whether or not FOODSAFE training is required for certain food-related activities such as: • vendors at community events; • samples at farm markets, trade shows, or craft fairs; • church suppers; • school hot dog days; • community kitchens; • home-based businesses; • children’s camps; and • staff picnics. The requirement for FOODSAFE training is part of the Food Premises Regulation in the BC Health Act. To find out if licensing and training is needed for your particular food-related activity, contact your local Health Authority.
