What food can goldfish eat?
Justme, A few additional treats for your goldfish would be zucchini and oranges. With the zucchini – just cut it length wise down the middle and clip it to the side of your tank with a veggie clip. They love it! Remove when only the skin remains on the zucchini. With an orange – cut into thick slices and clip to the side of the tank with a veggie clip. Gold fish love these too! You would think that the acid would mess up their water or irritate their stomachs but it doesn’t. Oranges also help brighten their colors. It must be the vitamin C….:) I have used both of these as treats for many years and have never had a bad experience. I learned about this through information in goldfish books and in online informative goldfish sites too. I must say I have not had any luck with the lettuce though. I have heard that the peas are a great treat as well but I have never tried those with my goldfish. Eat up!
