What finger buffet foods could i do for a medieval birthday party?
Well, because it’s finger food nothing should be huge, so I’m going to suggest some foods that would have been typical but in a downsized and manageable way. You could roast chunks of sausage. Likewise, roast potato and good chunks of onion, well-roasted and herbed. A carved roast of any kind, including roasted chickens, would also be appropriate. You’ll want to serve different and special breads/rolls and mustards so that people can work with the food. Pickles of ANY kind were very common. To sauce the roast potatoes (small ones,cut in quarters) horseradish mixed w/ sour cream would be outstanding – same sauce will work for the roast onions, especially if you add a little dill.Slices of fairly heavy quiche or terrine would work too. Cider or Beer and Ale to drink, unless you want your guests to bring a good bottle of imported liquor (Glenfiddich) and have yall self a good old whiskey tastin’.Fun party!! Wish I could go.
