She will probably get a fine and some penalty points, despite what others may be saying here, it’s not the crime of the Century and she certainly won’t go down for it. The length of time she’s been driving without a licence is of no relevance, she’s being prosecuted for this particular instance. I presume the offence came to light after the accident and she’s not being prosecuted for causing it, if that’s not the case, and the accident is also being blamed on her, the penalty my be stiffer if found guilty, but unless it involved a fatality or serious injury the penalty will be financial. Although obviously wrong, if it’s taken forty years for this to come to light, she is clearly a safer driver than a lot of supposedly ‘qualified’ drivers on the road.
