What financial interests must be disclosed?

Principal Investigators and Key Personnel must disclose financial interests in non-governmental entities that are sponsoring research grants and contracts. When a non-governmental entity gives the University a gift to support research and/or which is directed to a specific individual, the recipient must also disclose financial interests in the donor. Financial interests relating to a project funded by the Public Health Service (including the National Institutes of Health), National Science Foundation, and certain UC programs and private foundations must be disclosed prior to accepting funding. The thresholds for the level of financial interests that must be disclosed are discussed in the relevant Conflict of Interest Procedures, which may be viewed at http://www.adminvc.ucla.edu/appm/_entry_900.html.
