The only financial commitment of each member city is to contribute to the annual operational expenses of HEAT-SMC. Administrative costs will be kept to a minimum in regards to the total budget, and is amendable by the board on an annual basis. The amount each member agency contributes to cover the administrative costs will be proportional to the population of the jurisdiction. The County of San Mateo has already committed $75,000 for the initial operating expenses of HEAT-SMC.
