What film should I write a film analysis over?

As long as it has some sort of depth and a lot of things you can pick apart, you can analyze pretty much anything. I had to do three of these in a semester and did them over the romantic comedy Chocolat, the Hayao Miyazaki film My Neighbor Totoro, and Sweeney Todd. I think it does help if it is a film that you have an interest in, because you’ll be more likely to want to watch it enough times to sit down and take notes on it. You are going to be more likely to pick up on themes and clues the second or third time you watch it.
