The picture startled me – you’ve removed the mainboard from this, right? I know the Philips DSR 7000, not a 7005. If it is a TiVo-based DSR7000, then the file system is a mixture of Linux EXT3 and a TiVo-proprietary system called MFS. Recordings are encrypted by default. Extraction can be done but is best accomplished by modifying the software and using a network connection – see the Underground section for more details. Direct extraction from disk IS possible but only if the recordings are unencrypted.
