What files do I backup to keep my Chemwatch data safe so that I can sleep nights?
A. Chemwatch has an automatic facility that can backup your files for cw32.exe. This is accessed through the Backup button on the first screen of Chemwatch. You can backup the files to a network, or local drive or removable media. CW32.exe offers the choice of using compressed files or direct copies. You can also use the backup tool (bkupTool.exe) shipped on the CD. This tool allows you the choice of backing up your files to a backup directory and automatically keeping N many months of archives, or limiting the archive so that it will keep N many megabytes of archives.
