What file types are allowed in the UCMS?

0

Those file types that are allowed to reside on the web servers are: • .html • .gif • .jpeg • .pdf Word or Excel documents should only be used where there is a need to edit the document eg. application forms. The web servers are not a document storage system and shouldn’t be used as such. There is a maximum file size of 1 Mb for normal use, but where audio or video files are to be used the maximum file size is 5 Mb. NOTE: Exceptions to this will be considered by the University Web Services Team on an individual basis and requests for such exceptions should be made via the eHelpdesk. ALL Learning and Teaching material should be managed within WebCT and such material will not be allowed on the web servers. These measures will ensure that your web pages can be accessed and used easily and will add a further level of robustness to the University’s website.
