What file name types will my webserver accept?
Denver Web Host uses BSDI Unix for all virtual hosting, except for the Windows NT plans. In the Unix operating system, all filenames are case sensitive. This means that if you upload your files in upper case letters, then your HTML’s references must also match the case. The easiest way would be to keep everything in lower case. Sometimes files are received on the server in upper case even though they were lower case on the user’s computer. If this happens, check your FTP software’s manual or online help file for an option to “force lowercase”. Also do NOT put spaces in filenames .We suggest that you use file names that are acceptable for DOS/Windows 3.x. Long file names with special characters tend to cause more trouble than they are worth.
