In Scotland the grants have been replaced by Feed In Tariffs. Feed-in Tariff Scheme applies in Scotland for installations from 1st April 2010. The scheme applies to solar electricity (PV), and guarantees a minimum payment for all electricity generated by the renewable system, and a separate payment for electricity exported to the grid. These payments are in addition to the bill savings made by using the electricity generated on-site.
