What fee courtesies are available to emeriti faculty and librarians?
Fee courtesy is extended to full-time appointees on at least a nine month appointment by the end of the first week of the semester or session. This includes appointees who are on an approved leave of absence, retired appointees who are eligible for group life insurance, appointees who are receiving long term disability benefits from a University sponsored plan, PERF, or from the Social Security Administration. The fee courtesy value is 100% of the resident credit hour rate for the first three credit hours and/or audit hours per semester or combined summer sessions. The fee courtesy value is 50% of the resident rate for the next three credit hours and/or audit hours per semester or combined summer sessions. The employee will be billed for one half of the forfeited fee amount, if the employee does not obtain a grade of R, S, P, C, or higher in the course covered by the 100% fee courtesy.
