What Federal Censuses and New Jersey Censuses does Burlington County Library own?
Burlington County Library has US Federal Census microfilm holdings (enumerated every 10 years on the decade): • US Federal Census — 1830-1880 (covers Burlington County). • US Federal Census — 1890 Civil War Veterans & Widows Schedule (covers Burlington County). • US Federal Census — 1900-1930 (covers Burlington County). • US Federal Census — 1850 (covers the State with Slave Schedule and Agricultural Schedule). New Jersey State Census (enumerated every ten years on the “5’s”). • 1865, 1885, 1895, 1905, 1915(covers Burlington County). With a valid library card, a completed form, and a prepaid check, we will rent other census microfilms. Rented microfilm may be viewed and copied from our headquarters microfilm machines. The US Federal Census is published 72 years after the census date. Patrons have access to the U.S. Federal Census via two of our subscription databases: Ancestry Plus and Heritage Quest Online.
