What features of roman society and economy are embedded in feudal Europe?
The latifundia was a feature of Roman society and economy which was embedded in feudal Europe. They were basically large farms which had many slaves working on it. After the collapse of the Western Roman Empire these latifundias were one of the few elements of Roman society which was able to survive due to their self-sufficient nature. It can be argued that these large estates became the basis for the feudal society.
